Now it's almost time to eat the pure living energy with my raw food diet!
So here is what happened on Day 7...
As you can see, the sprouts want out! In fact, they were literally pushing the cheesecloth upward - I was surprised but when I realized that life seeks to live, this made complete sense to me. So, compassionately, and quite unexpectedly, I decided they needed more room!
So where there was two... there must be four!
And sure enough, although I didn't separate them perfectly equally, they filled the four jars with ease! So time to cut out some new unbleached cheesecloth!
That being done, individual pieces were needed to cover the two new jars. And as you can see, I'm more interested in doing the thing rather than making perfect circles... ha!
So here they are, the new fearsome foursome! The next thing to do is to rinse them which is really a means to get the hulls off of the sprouts naturally and then to re-introduce a fresh batch of moisture wherein they grow, thrive and explode in phyto-living joy!
So here is a jar full of water. I usually spin or rotate back and forth in my had to encourage the soft green Mung hulls to rise to the top. That way, I can easily remove them. Wonder if they are tasty or nutritious. I know my favorite part of a backed potato is the skin... but who knows?
Can you believe the draining rack looks so bare? With four jars being rinsed, it is amazing. Why? Because I thought I would never use SIX bottles - yet I'm using 4 just for Mung Beans. Yee-Haw! Life is good on the sprouting rack!
Sure enough, they are happy, happy. But do you see the jar on the far left? That is what will be for breakfast this morning! I will cut up my raw vegetables and mix it all together with plenty of flax seed, just as I showed in the following blog post:

So there you have it! The Mung Bean Sprouting Adventure has been a fantastic JOY! Tonight I plan on eating a second jar of sprouts and the remaining two tomorrow.
The fact is, these sprouts are not fully grown. I am trying to determine the best method to grow these to the full. But until then, these babies will be giving me life energy like few others foods!
I encourage you to try this out on your own. If my blogging this whole wonderful journey is a little long for you, I would like to provide some links that have encouraged me and get me started.

There are plenty of you tube videos and choosing a few that you like will really act as a sprouting coach, as perhaps this blog might do as well.
The key is having fun, finding joy in your growing sprouts and learning to engage in the excitement of these examples of the miracle of life!
So have fun and let me know how your progress goes.
FUTURE SPROUTING
I do plan on sprouting sunflower seed, quinoa, chia, garbanzo, lentils, flax, and other exciting powerhouses of life-giving plant excitement! I just might blog about that too as the joy is just too much to keep to oneself.
As I mentioned earlier, looking for another venue other than the jar to sprout with will also be a mini-adventure. We are very fortunate to have a co-op grocery store that carries a few new seeds. My dream is to work with the amazing plants, hemp and moringa.
All my best and the best of joy to you!
