Day 6 - What Is Going On?

I can't believe Day Six is here and the Mung Bean Sprouts are on a timeline of their own. Oh sure, I could begin eating them today for they are so very tasty! And if you have reviewed this whole process, they are filled... no, jam-packed with life! Growing, infusing, exuding!

As you know, I split the contents into to two separate jars. Starting with 1/4 cup of dried mung beans, I soaked them overnight. They doubled in size as they took on the water. Now, they are living in 2 jars. Cheesecloth is held in place by the lid and they seem to be loving their place on the hearth between the kitchen and living room!

Would you just look at them now!

Can you believe it? Their spouts are stretching outward and filling up, thickening. I have been rinsing them 4 times a day as we are in the high desert and humidity is hard to come by. But you wouldn't guess it by the size and vigor of these sprouts!

Will I have to split them in to 4 jars?

Time will tell.

One more thing: When I fill them with water and then drain the water, let me tell you, the aroma of the water is unbelievable! It smells so very good. Who would have thunk it?
